Need a little river time…
Living in Las Vegas, a fun area that has escaped my thought
for a very long time is Laughlin NV. I decided to take a small day trip and re-explore this wonderful little area.
The drive is maybe 1.5 hours from Vegas and is a very simple
drive. I was amazed by the massive solar
farms that are popping up, I had no idea they were this big!
I pulled into the Aquarius hotel valet and was greeted by the
friendly staff. All the hotels in this
area have incredible prices that make it very easy to just escape for a day or
two.
Before walking around or Jet skiing on the river, I thought
it would be a good idea to have a cocktail or two in my system 😊. I
found a lounge called the Cove that had a great view overlooking the river. With the proper amount of alcohol in my
system, I strolled down the boardwalk looking for the perfect Jet ski. There are a lot to choose from and I found a
small family-owned shop with a fair and direct price. After a small tutorial, my butt was plopped
on the seat and away I went. Buzzing up
and down the river was so exhilarating and views further down the river were spectacular. I found that an hour rental was more than
enough. After drying off (yes, I did fall
in the river and yes it was cold), I ran
up to my room, showered and headed back down looking for a nice steak house.
